100 Painted Skulls on the Wall

Noah Scalin has painted 100 skulls (all shown here together) to commemorate the fifth year of Skull-A-Day.

Skull-A-Day was an art project that Noah started in 2007 where he created a piece of skull art each day for a year.  As he created the pieces daily he posted them on the blog, Skull-A-Day which got the attention of publishers, & in 2012 the book Skulls was born.  The Skull-A-Day blog lived on past Noah’s personal project as it inspired many readers around the world.  The blog gets skull art daily & has become an online destination for lovers of momenti mori.

These paintings are on 4″X4″ wooden panels & are currently being displayed in various art galleries including Nucleus Gallery (Los Angeles, CA) & Clippi Headren (Richmond, VA).  You can also purchase a print of all 100 (as shown) HERE.

Happy Skull Appreciation Day!!!!
